Spiritual Discipleship
Spiritual Discipleship seeks to help people become not just the person they hope to be, but the person God created them to be.
All discipleship begins with believing the Gospel and becoming a spiritual disciple of Christ.
In the Gospels, we see this process start when Jesus says to each of His disciples, “Follow me!” Each of them had much to learn over the course of the next 3 years. As Jesus left his disciples to take his place at the right hand of his Father he tells them, “As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you!”
Spiritual discipleship is an ongoing and intentional process of Christian formation of individuals that God has called as ambassadors of his kingdom to serve and lead in his mission, “…to proclaim the excellencies of the one who called us out of darkness and into his marvelous light.”
Whole-life discipleship is crucial for preparing people to live in a posture of faithful presence.
