Podcast: Dr. Anthony Bradley on "Holistic Discipleship"

What it means to hold foot-on-the-ground theology and what we can learn from the book of Exodus about trauma and anxiety, and care for those who experience these things.

The Faithful Presence Podcast is honored to host Dr. Anthony Bradly. Dr Bradly is a distinguished scholar, theologian, and public intellectual whose work spans theology, ethics, and human flourishing. He serves as a Research Fellow at The Acton Institute and Research Professor of Interdisciplinary and Theological Studies at Kuyper College. Dr. Bradley’s writing and teaching explore the intersection of faith, culture, and social renewal, with a particular focus on discipleship, justice, and the challenges facing contemporary communities.

This week, Michael and Dr. Bradley explore what it means to pursue holistic flourishing—caring for the soul while also addressing emotional and physical needs. They discuss Dr. Bradley’s work on the book of Exodus, particularly its themes of trauma and anxiety, and consider the lessons it offers for today. The conversation also dives into his research on generational trauma and the lasting impact of absentee fathers.
